# Buddypress Integration

### **Using Buddypress Integration you can manage Projects, Tasks in groups from frontend!**

**Working of Buddypress Integration add-on**-

### Create project in group

You can create and manage  projects in group from frontend. Only group member can access this project in buddypress group. Other group member wouldn’t access it.

### Create & assign tasks group-wise

Like projects, you can access tasks group wise from frontend in buddypress group.

User can see only those project’s tasks which are created in current group.

### Create projects for group members

Make unlimited groups, rename them as you want to organize, add members and create projects that are specific to these users which only these members will be able to view, edit, and use.

### Keep things on frontend

Protect your privacy and secure data on your site because this addon lets you keep members away from your backend. Do everything that you do in the dashboard directly from the frontend. No need to let out to anyone that you are using WordPress!

### Integrated with calendar addon

You can access tasks on calendar in buddypress group.

User can see tasks created in buddypress group.

For more details please follow [this](https://taskbuilder.net/buddypress/) link.

## Group Projects

Taskbuilder allows you to associate Projects with BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Groups. This makes the Group the central place for managing Projects and Tasks related to that Group.

### Example

Suppose you have a BuddyBoss Group named:

**Ideas – Shared Platform Group**

You can associate a Taskbuilder Project with this Group:

**Website Development**

The Project List will display the associated Group:

> **Website Development**
> **Group:** Ideas – Shared Platform Group

Clicking the **Group Name** will automatically redirect the user to the associated BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Group.

This works dynamically, so each Project can take users to its own associated Group.

### Group Projects on a Frontend Page

You can display Projects associated with BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Groups on any frontend page using:

`[wppm_group_projects]`

This displays Projects that are associated with Groups.

### Display Projects from a Specific Group

To display Projects belonging to a specific Group, use the Group ID:

`[wppm_group_projects group_id="15"]`

Replace `15` with the actual Group ID.

### Display Projects by Group Name

You can also display Projects using the Group name/slug:

`[wppm_group_projects group="group-name"]`

Replace `group-name` with the name/slug of the Group.

---

## Group Tasks

Taskbuilder allows Tasks to be associated with BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Groups.

Tasks associated with a Group can be displayed in the Task List, making it easy to identify which Group a Task belongs to.

### Example

Suppose the Task:

**Create Homepage**

belongs to the Group:

**Ideas – Shared Platform Group**

The Task List can display:

> **Create Homepage**
> **Group:** Ideas – Shared Platform Group

Clicking the **Group Name** will automatically redirect the user to the associated BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Group.

### Display Group Tasks on a Frontend Page

You can display Tasks associated with Groups using:

`[wppm_group_tasks]`

This displays Tasks that are associated with Groups.

### Display Tasks from a Specific Group

To display Tasks belonging to a specific Group, use the Group ID:

`[wppm_group_tasks group_id="15"]`

Replace `15` with the actual Group ID.

### Display Tasks by Group Name

You can also display Tasks using the Group name/slug:

`[wppm_group_tasks group="group-name"]`

Replace `group-name` with the name/slug of the Group.

---

## Centralized Group Projects & Tasks Dashboard

You can place both shortcodes on the same frontend page to create a centralized dashboard for Group Projects and Group Tasks.

Use:

`[wppm_group_projects]`

`[wppm_group_tasks]`

This allows users to view Group Projects and Group Tasks from a single centralized location.

For example:

**Group Projects**

> Website Development — Ideas – Shared Platform Group
> Content Planning — Marketing Group

**Group Tasks**

> Create Homepage — Ideas – Shared Platform Group
> Prepare Content — Marketing Group

Users can click the Group Name to return directly to the associated BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Group.

---

## Automatic Group Member Synchronization

Taskbuilder can automatically synchronize BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Group Members with Taskbuilder Project Users.

This applies only to Projects that were created with:

**Automatically add all group members as project users**

enabled.

When this option is enabled:

- When a member is added to the Group, the member is automatically added as a Project User.
- When a member is removed from the Group, the member can be automatically removed from the associated Project Users.
- This keeps Group Members and Project Users synchronized.

### Enable Member Removal Synchronization

The removal behavior can be controlled from:

**Dashboard → Taskbuilder → Settings → BuddyPress Integration → Removing members from a Group**

Enable **Removing members from a Group** to automatically remove a user from the associated Taskbuilder Project when the user is removed from the BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Group.

> **Important:** Automatic synchronization only applies to Projects that had **Automatically add all group members as project users** enabled when the Project was created. It does not automatically apply to existing Projects that were created without this option.

---

## Group Tasks in Calendar

Taskbuilder Calendar displays the **BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Group name together with the Task name** for Tasks associated with a Group.

For example:

> **Ideas – Shared → Create Homepage**

This makes it easier to identify which Group a Task belongs to when viewing Tasks in the Calendar.

---

## Group-Based Workflow

The Group-based functionality provides a connected workflow between BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Groups and Taskbuilder Projects and Tasks:

**BuddyBoss Group**
↓
**Group Projects**
↓
**Project Tasks**
↓
**Associated Group**

For example:

**Ideas – Shared Platform Group**
→ **Website Development**
→ **Create Homepage**
→ **Ideas – Shared Platform Group**

This allows users to work with Taskbuilder Projects and Tasks while keeping them connected to the relevant BuddyPress/BuddyBoss Group.
